A vote with the Alberta members was not held as the Branch received the same number of nominations as positions. The members were acclaimed to the Council positions as per the ACTRA Alberta Bylaws. Any Full Member, in good standing, who is a resident of Alberta and a member of the Alberta Branch for a minimum of six months, may apply for the scholarship.With Covid-19 many studios / workshop providers are offering ONLINE training – so why not take advantage!Deadline to apply is May 1st and you can apply for programs / workshops in the next six months.Due to travel restrictions, the scholarship will only cover the workshop fee and not travel.For more information on criteria and the application form CLICK HERE…
ACTRA Alberta is pleased to announce our inaugural Woman of the Year Award to Karen Ryan. Karen’s commitment and passion for the Alberta Screen Industry is known to so many. She has coordinated the UPSTART program in Calgary for over ten years and is always willing to lend a hand to support fellow Performers. ACTRA Alberta is pleased to announced the summer 2019 MIP Grant recipients: Matt Alden Sally Bishop Jayson Therrien ACTRA Alberta offers limited financial support towards the making of Member Initiated Projects (MIP) in the form of grants. The MIP Program is designated to stimulate the desire of ACTRA members to come together and create original works of art. Projects must be completed by the end of November 2019.
