What has been your favourite role?
Asking what my favourite role has been is akin to asking a parent which of their children is their favourite. They all are my favourite! To have a body of work under your belt is a blessing and a gift and I feel fortunate that I have gotten the opportunity to breathe life into each one of them whether they had three lines or three hundred.
What do you do when you are not performing?
I do so many things. I’m a comedian, a writer, I coach, I run. I spend time with my wife and two boys and our dogs. I loved to travel before COVID was such a disruptor.
What organization/activity are you involved with or passionate about that people would find interesting?
I’m a member of Calgary Black Chambers a group that is committed to delivering mentorship to black youth among other things.
What Director would you like to work with?
Spike Lee- I have been a fan of his work since I saw his graduate school student film Joe’s Bed-Stuy Barbershop: We Cut Heads. I’ve watched everything he has directed and I think he is a gifted storyteller and very much underrated.
What is your favourite movie and/or TV show?
Too many to list here. Watching films is an obsession for me. I also love British Television shows.
As a Performer, what is one thing you wish you would have known sooner?
Learn to love auditioning with all its warts and flaws and embrace it with joy for it is the pathway we must all go down to do what we love. We get paid to audition, acting we’d gladly do for free.
