What has been your favorite role?
I’m going to break the rules a little and share two of my favourite roles, because both were experiences are ones I will never forget. Working as Ron and Diana’s eldest daughter on “Under the Banner of Heaven” was incredible, and being surrounded by such a talented cast and crew is something that will stay with me forever. Playing Juniper in “There’s No Way Out” is another experience I will always carry with me, as we truly built a little family on set, and Juniper will always hold a special place in my heart.
What do you do when you are not performing?
I absolutely love spending time with my family and friends, as that’s something I value deeply. I also cherish time with my partner and our sweet rescue pup.
What activity are you involved with or passionate about that people would find interesting?
I recently started my own creative media company, currently focused on social media, with hopes of growing and diversifying it in the future. I’ve also found my way back to writing and am exploring the possibilities that come with that.
What Director would you like to work with?
To work with Damien Chazelle would truly be a dream, especially after he’s directed some of the most incredible films, including “Whiplash” and “La La Land”. His storytelling and visual style are so inspiring to me. I would also love to collaborate with Tim Burton, as I grew up watching his films and have always been drawn to his imaginative worlds, bold costumes, and distinctive creative vision.
What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?
One of my all-time favourite films is “La Lan Land”. I grew up in musical theatre and have always loved any chance to be in Los Angeles. As a longtime admirer of Emma Stone, it feels like the perfect blend of everything I love, with cinematography that is simply stunning.
As a Performer, what is one thing you wish you would have known sooner?
Build your community by taking classes, attending events, and putting yourself out there. Alberta has an incredible creative community, so meet people, make friends, and form connections. Celebrate every part of your journey, self-tapes, callbacks, classes, scripts, and the friendships you make. Every step is worth recognizing and enjoying.
