What has been your favorite role?
I’ve done so much over the years (BG & Cast), I don’t think I can pick just 1. Background performing has given me the most amazing life experiences. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been sent to Budapest & Scotland to work as BG on some fantastic productions. I still can’t believe I’ve been sent to another country to work, and meet amazing people. Cast, I’d have to say being cast recently on TRIBAL. That role has been a fantastic opportunity and such a great learning experience. I’m hoping it gives me some more exposure and opportunities to work.
What do you do when you are not performing?
I am fortunate enough to be able to do other roles in the film industry… Stand In being one of them. This is such a great position to have. I am always amazed at what it takes to put together a shot. Every day is an education. When not working in film, I’m spending time with my family.
What organization / activity are you involved with or passionate about that people would find interesting?
I have a few passions! One is managing my son’s sports teams. I love being able to connect with our youth and helping the teams bond and enjoy their sport. I also love photography and make handmade jewelry. I’ve been fortunate enough to have had my work published 4 times in an international instructional magazine & compilation book.
What Director would you like to work with?
There are a few! James Cameron, as well as Kevin Costner, Robert Redford & Clint Eastwood. They would be people I would love to work for. I love their style of story telling.
What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?
I’m a visual person, so big movies that have a lot going on with them, appeal to me the most. Tenet, Avatar, Tron…those are some of my favorites… I could watch them over and over. Doing Stand In, I am constantly wondering how they set up the shots for some of these complex scenes.
As a Performer, what is one thing you wish you would have known sooner?
If I had known years ago what life experiences I’d have, vs working my old 9-5 job… I would have gotten into the film industry sooner. My son has gotten to work with me in Budapest & Scotland…his life is so much richer for it, and my husband has been able to join us on these ventures. We wouldn’t have been able to have these adventures without being in the film industry… we are so very fortunate to lead the life we have.
