What has been your favourite role?
Sarah in the Hallmark Channel’s Meet Me at Christmas. When you audition for a Hallmark role, they say, “remember, everyone just wants to have the best day ever,” and it was true! Such a delight.
What do you do when you are not performing?
I work downtown in Marketing & Business Development, sometimes Operations Management. I also teach & coach Commercial Voice Over.
What organization / activity are you involved with or passionate about that people would find interesting?
My biggest passion over the past few years has been Latin Dance (Salsa, Bachata and Samba). I joined two dance teams in 2020 that never got to perform due to Covid, so my goal this year is to dust off those sequins and get up on stage!
What Director would you like to work with?
I think working with Baz Luhrmann would be thrilling. I find his mastery of blending music and dance with film to be so exciting. I love his bold, passionate style.
What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?
My favorite movie of all time is Clue. Yes…the 1985 film based on the board game. I couldn’t count how many times I’ve seen it. I know- not only every word- but every thunder bolt, suspenseful zing, and sound effect. It’s a childhood comfort thing.
As a Performer, what is one thing you wish you would have known sooner?
Let go of trying to contort yourself into the thing you think you need to be to succeed at this. The unique thing that you are will be a bigger benefit to you in the long run. You can’t really pretend to be that thing anyway. Very few of us can (reasonably) sustain ourselves at this. I found letting go of that expectation to be liberating. Investing in my other abilities has seen me through lean times, enriched my life and ultimately informed my work. I believe prioritizing your own well-being and financial stability is one of the most powerful things you can do for your career. It gives you options. Options are powerful.
