What has been your favourite role?
I played a small-town cop in the soon-to-be-released Indy film Abducted. Spent 3 days in Vegreville on the shoot and loved it. Got to drive a police car.
What do you do when you are not performing?
I test people’s English for immigration purposes. Instead of a Superman logo, my t-shirt says “I’m silently correcting your grammar”.
What organization / activity are you involved with or passionate about that people would find interesting?
I play the trombone. These days I’m busking with a guitarist named Doug. A few years ago I combined my music/acting skills in Two Gentlemen of Verona (Bard on Bower, Red Deer) and Aeschylus: Fragments (Theatre Encounter, Calgary)
What Director would you like to work with?
Director – Jim Jarmusch (Paterson, Night on Earth) in the U.S. and Tom Tykwer (Babylon Berlin, Run Lola Run) in Germany
What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?
“Shameless”. People say I look like W.H. Macy. Wish I could act like him.
As a Performer, what is one thing you wish you would have known sooner?
My colleague Gin Fedotov said it so well in his recent ACTRA Spotlight feature, so I have to repeat it: Acting is like being a top-level athlete; it requires daily practice and a coach
