What has been your favorite role?

The musical “Jacob two-two and the Dinosaur” by Mordecai Richler  (Edmonton Citadel theatre). A twenty foot Puppet named “Dippy “made by Jim Henson’s people get chased across Canada by General Bailey. I played the voice of the dinosaur (sweet ballads) and General Bailey (heavy rock songs) and through the magic of theatre and trap doors people thought we were on stage together but never were.

What do you do when you are not performing?

Presently working on a new project called ”The Big Western” with Engage the Stage, a musical, where the audience participation is a character in the show.

What organization / activity are you involved with or passionate about that people would find interesting?

Musical Therapy for Seniors – both my parents are gone now and to see the joy that this brings their generation. Very gratifying. it’s like going home.

What Director would you like to work with?

Anyone and everyone. I’ve never met anyone you couldn’t learn something from. I’ve enjoyed the women directors like Courtney Hunt on “Under the Banner of Heaven”. I think it’s their skill at communicating the emotional fabric of a scene. it’s very comfortable.

What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?

“Goodfellas”, “The Shawshank Redemption”, “Forrest Gump”, “Money Ball”. And the best TV series ever produced was “Breaking Bad”.

As a Performer, what is one thing you wish you would have known sooner?

How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice. Film two auditions weekly. Take chances. Once your craft meets your creative, you’ll get work.
