What has been your favorite role?
I played the ER Doctor (Dr. Curtis) in season one of My Life with the Walter Boys. It was great to draw on my work experience for the tone of the role. There was a lot of great dialogue in it for me, and the cast and director were an absolute pleasure to work with.
What do you do when you are not performing?
I’m a medical doctor. I trained and worked in hospitals and clinics in Chicago before returning to Canada. Now I do everything from seeing patients, teaching CME courses for other physicians and medical and educational consulting. My schedule is pretty packed, but I’ll always make time for performing.
What organization / activity are you involved with or passionate about that people would find interesting?
I’ve been involved with a national cannabis brand and medicinal clinic for almost 10 years now. I also just ventured into a new business focused on education.
What Director would you like to work with?
There’s so many, but a list of some of my favorites are Steve McQueen, Denis Villeneuve, Christopher Nolan, and Michael Mann.
What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?
I’m a big fan of The Sopranos. When I started watching it, I hadn’t seen anything like it before for content or style. I also had a great group of friends to discuss it with.
As a Performer, what is one thing you wish you would have known sooner?
Never take anything personally and be patient.
