What has been your favorite role?
I don’t think I’ve had a favorite role. Many of my roles have been a great opportunity to create.
What do you do when you are not performing?
I write and produce. I practice- I do voice work and practice scenes/monologues. I coach and mentor. I also love to watch movies.
What organization / activity are you involved with or passionate about that people would find interesting?
I consult with the Cultural Instigators who’s major focus is to shed light on barriers and obstacles within the artistic ecosystem and find ways to overcome these hurdles while spotlighting BIPOC artists in Calgary.
What Director would you like to work with?
The list is endless. Directors I’d love to work with- James Cameron. Ava DuVernay. RT Thorne. Ryan Coogler. Michael Bay, Floyd Kane. Jordan Peele. Of course this list cannot be complete for me without wanting to work with the greats Speilberg and Scorsese. There’s also Ramsey Noah and Kemi Adetiba. Kenneth Gyang who I’ve been fortunate to work with on a Netflix movie “THE LOST CAFE” but hey who says once is enough.
What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?
Favorite movie would be “THE USUAL SUSPECTS”, “THE GREATEST SHOWMAN”, “300”, an honorable mention is “BLACK PANTHER” Shows would be “FRIENDS”, “THE QUEENS GAMBIT”, “BREAKING BAD”, “HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR”, and “WARROR NUN”
As a Performer, what is one thing you wish you would have known sooner?
That there are so many uncontrollable factors that lead to you being cast and you can’t control those. Just give your best and all others will fall in place. For a long time I felt something was wrong with my auditions as I wasn’t getting cast. Truth is you are good enough. Keep practicing, keep auditioning. Keep acting.
