Performance Award Categories

• Best Performance – Principal or Lead Actor
• Best Performance – Principal or Lead Actor (Short Film)
• Best Supporting Performance – Principal or Lead Actor
• Best Stunt Performance / Best Stunt Ensemble
• Best Stunt Coordination

Eligibility Requirements

• Screening Dates: The project must have been publicly screened between August 31, 2024, and August 31, 2025.
  • Screening Definition: A public screening includes events like film festivals. For online releases, the eligibility date is when the project was first made available to the public.
• Submission Deadline: All submissions must be received by September 5, 2025.
• ACTRA Alberta Membership:
  • The performer must have been an ACTRA Alberta member at the time of performance and at the time of submission.
  • The nominee must be in good standing with the union (i.e., current on dues or AM & EX renewal fees).
  • Only ACTRA Alberta members in good standing may submit nominations.
  • Members may nominate themselves or ask a fellow ACTRA Alberta member to submit on their behalf.
  • NEW: ACTRA Signatory Producers may now nominate ACTRA Alberta members for an award.
• Eligible Performances:
  • Must be from an ACTRA-signatory production filmed in Canada or internationally.
• Selection Process:
  • A jury of ACTRA members will determine the shortlist and winners.

Submission Requirements

• Clip Length: Up to 2 minutes
• Clips Per Nomination: Only one clip per nomination and one clip per project
• Do Not Submit: Full films or complete series episodes
• Format: MP4 files only
• Submission Method: Submit clips via email or file transfer service
• File Labeling: Clearly label files with the nominee’s first and last name and the project title (e.g., Jane Doe_Dancing in the Rain)
