What has been your favorite role?
This is a tough question! Of course I loved being on Black summer, because it was an insane experience! But I’d have to say playing Sam on Prank Night was my favourite part, because I met so many wonderful people on set, and got to explore a more mature character for the first time. Getting to go on a complex journey through a dark, realistic world was enlightening and weirdly exciting.
What do you do when you are not performing?
Wishing I was acting! And beyond that, I’m a huge fan of visual arts, so I do a lot of painting, cosplay, and drawing. I also take as many martial arts classes as possible, and am currently learning a bit more about stunts!
What activity are you involved with or passionate about that people would find interesting?
I’m incredibly passionate about martial arts, as mentioned above, but recently I’ve been doing content creation for magic the gathering (yes the card game) and it’s been wonderful!
What Director would you like to work with?
I’m a huge Shakespeare nerd, so getting to work with Kenneth Branagh would be super interesting. Greta Gerwig would also be just extraordinary.
What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?
I love David Lowery’s ‘The Green Knight’ starring Dev Patel. It’s so weird and man, do I love a good metaphor (or 100). I also love all The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies.
As a Performer, what is one thing you wish you would have known sooner?
I wish someone had told me I could have fun on set when I was young. Yes, it’s a place to work and create, but you’re making art with other people who also want to make art. It’s okay to laugh between scenes and ask for feedback and try new things! If it doesn’t work that’s okay! Most of the wonderful directors I’ve had the joy of working with encourage new things and ideas! If you’re in that kind of space, don’t be afraid to speak up.
