What has been your favorite role?

Honestly I can usually find something to love about every role I’ve played, but the most fun I ever had on a set was as Mrs. Van Deusal on an episode of Young Drunk Punk. It was so neat to see Bruce McCulloch in his element: acting, directing and writing all at the same time. At one point he stood off screen and made up lines on the spot for my awesome scene partner and I to improvise while the camera kept rolling – a total BLAST!

What do you do when you are not performing?

I am a playwright so when I am not writing I am submitting plays to theatre companies or competitions … or procrastinating.

What organization / activity are you involved with or passionate about that people would find interesting?

I am a Board Member of the Alberta Playwright’s Network, a fantastic organization based out of Calgary and Edmonton that supports playwrights all over Alberta at any stage of their career. They are a wonderful resource that has helped me develop many of my plays and have been a huge part of my journey as a writer. You can check them out at: http://www.albertaplaywrights.com

What Director would you like to work with?

Sarah Polley because she’s brilliant, she’s Canadian and she is a woman kicking ass in a male dominated industry.

What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?

Difficult to pick just one but if I have to, I am going with The Fisher King and the Baroness Von Sketch Show.

As a Performer, what is one thing you wish you would have known sooner?

Peter Skagen says it like this: stop trying to flatter yourself…so you aren’t Angelina Jolie, so what? Figure out what you do have to offer, what makes YOU unique and give it all you got. And keep your eyes open!
