Workshop Description:
10 am – Noon
Introduction to horses and horse behavior. Understanding how horses mirror human emotions. Using natural horsemanship techniques, participants will learn how to catch and halter a horse. Participants will learn tools to help them understand and control their emotions to handle a horse in any given situation properly. 
1 pm – 3 pm
Participants will go through a few exercises with horses. Some of these will be on the ground, and some will be on horseback. Exercises will focus on trust, communication, balance, and horsemanship. Participants will experience riding with and without a saddle. The participants will have an opportunity to learn basic action sequences with horses.

Ty Provost Bio:

Ty Provost is the President of Horse Spirit Collective.
Horse Spirit programming has been in operation for over 10 years. Helping people of all ages and diverse backgrounds from students and staff in schools to families in social services. Recently, Horse Spirit has
started doing more cooperate trainings for team building and cultural awareness programs and has also had the honor of facilitating an equine program for the Counting Coup film academy students for the past 3 years.
Blackfoot Equine Assisted Wellness not only teaches affective horsemanship tools but also has many holistic benefits that have been shown to increase self-esteem and self-awareness while overcoming any fears or anxieties working with horses.
